The Problem with E-Waste
Overview
We build premium laptops, tablets, thin clients, and desktops, and we also take responsibility for the environment by helping customers understand how to dispose of e-waste properly.
E-waste is the fastest-growing waste stream in the world. To manage it responsibly, we follow the National Environmental Policy (NEP) and work to collect and recycle e-waste in the right way.
Why E-Waste Needs to Be Controlled
Waste harms the ecosystem, and electronic waste causes even greater damage when it is not handled correctly. To prevent this, the Government of India introduced the E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2011, which came into effect on May 12, 2011.
For more details, you can visit the Ministry of Environment and Forests website.
These rules apply to everyone. Companies and individuals must dispose of electronic waste only at authorized service centers rather than throwing it into the environment.
